We are not getting justice, nor is there any hope for it says Rauf Hassan

PTI Core Committee’s Stance on Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa

Demand for Recusal of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa

PTI’s Request:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee has expressed that Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa should not preside over their cases. PTI’s central spokesperson, Rauf Hassan, stated that the core committee believes that since Qazi Faez Isa became Chief Justice, PTI has not been receiving justice. He mentioned on ARY News that the core committee has asked for the Chief Justice to recuse himself from their cases, suggesting that he should have done so voluntarily.

Perceived Bias in Court Decisions:

Rauf Hassan elaborated that the decisions coming from the court appear biased, reinforcing their demand. He highlighted that previously, justice was not being served, but now their petitions are not even being considered. He argued that politically charged matters should not leverage the judiciary and that the judiciary should also avoid being used in such a manner. The bias seen in the decisions supports their demand for recusal.

PTI’s Legal and Media Strategy

Hamoodur Rahman Commission Promotion:

The PTI spokesperson mentioned that the party’s founder instructed to promote the Hamoodur Rahman Commission report to highlight past mistakes. The founder had not personally reviewed the material posted on Twitter, and Rauf Hassan had not met with him post the tweet. The core committee has taken ownership of the posted video, and the founder’s opinion on the video will be known after a meeting.

Legal Committee’s Involvement:

The matter of the video is currently with PTI’s legal committee, which will provide its input soon. Based on their opinion, a decision will be made whether to delete the tweet or not.

FIA Summons:

Rauf Hassan acknowledged receiving a summons from the FIA regarding the tweet, scheduled for 11 AM on Wednesday. The FIA cited concerns arising from the video. There is a consensus within the party that they are not receiving justice and that they should use every available platform to present their case, with social media being their strongest platform currently.
