May 9 Arson and Siege Cases: Extension in Imran Khan’s Interim Bails

The court has summoned the lawyers for arguments at the next hearing. Administrative Judge Khalid Arshad heard the cases in the Anti-Terrorism Court regarding the arson and siege at Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and Shadman Police Station, concerning the interim bails of the PTI founder.

Lahore (News, May 31, 2024) – The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has extended Imran Khan’s interim bails in the May 9 arson and siege cases. The court has summoned the lawyers for arguments at the next hearing. Administrative Judge Khalid Arshad presided over the hearing in the Anti-Terrorism Court regarding the interim bails of the PTI founder in the arson and siege cases related to Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and Shadman Police Station.

The court has extended the interim bails of PTI founder Imran Khan in three cases until June 7, summoning the lawyers for arguments at the next hearing. It is noteworthy that a few days ago, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore also extended Imran Khan’s interim bail until May 24 in three cases related to the arson on May 9 at Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and Shadman Town Police Station.

In the Anti-Terrorism Court, a hearing was held on Imran Khan’s application for interim bail in three cases. The court summoned Salman Safdar, the lawyer for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, for arguments and ordered that arrangements be made to ensure Imran Khan’s appearance via video link at the next hearing. It is worth noting that on May 10, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore directed that preparations be completed to ensure Imran Khan’s attendance via video link at the next hearing for the interim bail requests in three cases related to the May 9 arson and siege incidents.

At the previous hearing, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore summoned the lawyers for arguments regarding the interim bail applications of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in three cases.
